New Bowie Speed Camera Will Go Into Effect in January
Located around Benjamin Tasket Middle School, there will be a warning period before tickets are issued.

The latest speed camera addition will be activated in Prince George’s County in the beginning of the new year.
A rise of pedestrian deaths caused suggestions for more speed cameras and lower speed limits in the county over the summer.
The speed monitoring system has been installed on Collington Road (MD 197) near Benjamin Tasket Middle School. It will go into effect on Jan. 5. During the first two weeks, drivers who exceed the speed limit by 12 mph or more will receive a warning. After that time violators will get a citation.
