Shelter Looking for Volunteers to Play with Kittens

A Bowie charity that rescues strays and needs help playing with some of their kittens.

With local organization Connie and Teri 4 Animals’s latest open position, volunteer work has never been so enticing.

The charity seeks volunteers to bond with some of the kittens, which were rescued in the Bowie area and are cared for at the shelter.

According to the charity’s founders and Bowie residents Connie Carter and Teri Stumpf, just 30 minutes of play time with volunteers will help the young animals become more comfortable around strangers. That can help them become great pets who are adopted by forever families.

“These precious babies were rescued from very bad situations,” Carter said in a statement to Gazette.Net. “They are already tamed and very lovable but, in order to help them become great cats, they need to be exposed to different people.”

Currently waiting non-profit designation, Connie and Teri 4 Animals was founded in 2009 and helps support the efforts of the Prince George’s County Animal Shelter.
