Teen With Gun, Ammunition In Backpack Arrested: Howard County Police

Howard County Police stopped a 16-year-old boy they say was trespassing and found a gun and magazines in his backpack.

COLUMBIA, MD — After receiving several complaints about trespassing, loitering, suspected drug dealing and weapons violations at a condominium complex in Columbia, Howard County police officers with the community outreach and pathways section took action and ended up getting weapons off the street.

Initially, officers installed no trespassing signs at the property but then they carried out enforcement and area checks, which resulted in the arrested of a 16-year-old Columbia boy who has been charged with weapon violations, the police department stated.

In the video below, police officers stopthe trespasser who was carrying a black backpack. As they dig through his bag, the teen said, "So call my mother bro." The cop responded, "I'll be calling your mom, don't worry."

In the video, you can see the cop pulls an extended magazine and clips out of the teen's backpack who said, "That ain't none of y'all business, bro." The cop replies, "Oh it is now."

Officers ended up confiscating from the teen's backpack a semi-automatic KelTec Sub 2000 for a Glock 19 and 23 magazines, the police department stated.
