A video released by the Howard County Police Department shows a K9 tracking down a 14-year-old suspect who jumped out of a vehicle.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Ever wonder what a K9 does when called to the scene of a crime in the middle of the night to chase down suspects?
Recently, a 14-year-old suspect driving a stolen vehicle jumped out of the car and took off running through the woods in the dark of night. Finding a suspect in that type of situation can be a challenge, so Pfc. Klakring and K9 Falco were dispatched to the scene.
The second the pair arrived, K9 Falco snapped into action. The Howard County Police Department released bodycam footage, which can be viewed below, of K9 Falco working the case and cornering the suspect who was hiding in brush.

"Police K9 Police K9! Show me your hands! Show me your hands!" the officer shouted at the suspect. Come out here! Crawl out here, now! Crawl out here, now!"
After ordering the teen to crawl out a couple more times, another officer caught up to them and told the suspect to keep his hands visible at all times while crawling out of the brush. The 14-year-old was arrested on the spot and charged in the incident, according to the police department.
"Good boy, buddy! Yeah!" the officer commended K9 Falco, then threw in a handful more "good boy" compliments and a couple of firm pats to reward him.
