Jeannie Marie Proffitt, 22, of Severna Park and most recently of Annapolis, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 6.
She attended Severna Park High School and played for the varsity soccer team as well as a traveling team. She enjoyed the beach, snowboarding, the outdoors and recently had taken up paddle boarding. She was attending Anne Arundel Community College at the time of her death.

Jeannie was a fun-loving spirit with an infectious smile and leaves behind many friends and family to mourn her loss. She is survived by her mother Tina Proffitt of Savannah, GA., her father and stepmother Gary and Elizabeth Proffitt of Severna Park, a sister Amy of Corbin, KY., a brother Justin, Savannah, GA., and two stepbrothers Rob and Brendan, both of NJ. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother Bettie Schwalls, Savannah, GA., her paternal grandparents, Monroe and Nedra Proffitt, Clarksville, TN., and her paternal grandmother Idella Taylor, London, KY and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 11-1 at the Hardesty Funeral Home, 12 Ridgely Ave. in Annapolis. Services will be held at 1 p.m.
