Yoga for a Cause: All Proceeds Benefit Local Family

Yoga for a Cause week is coming to Crofton Yoga.

“For seven years, Crofton Yoga has taken a week during the holidays where instructors choose a charity and proceeds from their class go toward that charity,” Emily Gretz, co-owner of Crofton Yoga, said. “This year, we are very thankful to our yoga community for helping one of our own during the extremely difficult time.”

From Dec. 28 to 30 and again on Jan. 2 and 3, the business, located at 2431 Crofton Lane, Suite 11, will hold six special classes.

All proceeds from the classes will benefit the Corrigan Family Memorial Fund. Janice Corrigan, a teacher at Crofton Yoga, lost her husband in November. The proceeds will help alleviate financial burdens the family is facing.

The cost for each class is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Individuals can pre-register for classes online.

• Sunday, December 28, 2014, 3:00-4:15pm, Yoga and Meditation with Kim Murphy
• Monday, December 29, 2014, 6:00-7:15pm, Level 1-2 with Marybeth Cully
• Tuesday, December 30, 2014, 9:30-10:45am, Level 1 with Amy Quade
• Tuesday, December 30, 2014, 6:00-7:15pm, Meditative Posture Yoga Class with Emily Gretz
• Friday, January 2, 2015, 9:30-10:45am Gentle & Restorative with Erin Conti-Vock
• Saturday, January 3, 2015, 10:00-11:15am, Slow Flow with Yoga Nidra with Aimee Seal
