John Moses, a 9th grade student at Century High School, will appear in the 95th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with more than 100 jump athletes from across the country. Jumpers representing 25 teams from 21 states will participate.
The group will appear under the name J.U.M.P. – Jumpers United for Macy’s Parade. Members of J.U.M.P. are male and female, ranging from 12 to 26 years old. Jump rope routines feature gymnastics and dance moves, all done while jumping a rope. The athletes will be jumping the entire 2.8 mile course of the parade, requiring them to be in peak physical condition and taking months of practice.
