The team played Marriotts Ridge High School in the MPSSAA Class 2A-3A finals Tuesday.

The Century High School girls lacrosse team ended their winning streak Tuesday, falling shy of the state title.

The girls suffered a 15-5 loss in the MPSSAA Class 2A-3A championship game at UMBC.

Even so, local fans made a strong and supportive showing.
