Liberty High School Drama is proud to present their production of Disney's iconic and exhilarating musical, Beauty and the Beast this spring. Directed by Danielle Dickstein with Assistant Director Megan Henderson and Music Director Sarah Larson, Liberty Drama returns with the first, long-awaited, live musical in three years!

The story begins in a shining castle in a far away land. A young arrogant Prince and his castle servants fall under a powerful spell by a wicked enchantress, who transforms him into a hideous beast. In order to break the spell, the Beast must finally learn to love, ‘for beauty is found within’. But most importantly, he ‘must learn to control his temper’.

In a small provincial town, a strong, spirited village girl Belle ‘wants an adventure in the great wide somewhere’. Belle enters the Beast's castle after the Beast imprisons her father Maurice. With the help of the Beast’s enchanted servants, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, Chip, Babette, and Madame De La Grande Bouche, Belle begins to draw the cold-hearted Beast out of his isolation. Will the Beast and his servants fulfill their dreams of becoming Human Again?
