Patch and T-Mobile have partnered to highlight young people achieving great things in our community.

The future of Eldersburg is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Ben Bergamaschi, who are making a positive impact in and around Eldersburg.
A 2024 graduate of Century High School in nearby Sykesville, Ben has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a commitment to community service throughout his high school career. As a sophomore, he completed a life-saving Eagle Scout project at Piney Run Park, where he installed three drowning rescue stations equipped with life preservers, throw ropes, and safety information from the American Red Cross.
The project, which included significant fundraising efforts and coordination with local organizations like the Knights of Columbus and the Marine Corps League, has left a lasting impact on the community.

“Ben did a great job on his project,” said Trevor Colby, Troop 1231 scoutmaster, in a Baltimore Sun article about Ben’s initiative. “I’m proud of him and all Scouts who reach the rank of Eagle.”
Outside of his involvement with the Scouts, Ben is also a dedicated athlete. He played on the varsity lacrosse team at Century High School, balancing sports with academics and community involvement.
