New Music School Opens in Sykesville

The Limelight Music School opened in Sykesville earlier this month.

The school offers music lessons, classes, instrument rentals and repairs, as well as books and supplies, according to Mona Freedman, marketing director for the school.
 
The school is located at 1341 W. Liberty Rd.

"We offer programs and services that no other school offers and we are right here in the Eldersburg/Sykesville area," Freedman said in a message to Patch. "The space is a clean, cozy, family-friendly learning environment across from the South Carroll HS and the rear of the Moose Caboose. And we make learning music FUN."

Freedman said customers "are very excited about a new music entity like this and won't have to travel to Westminster anymore."

Private music lessons are offered for all instruments. Classes include beginning music theory, stage and performance techniques, voice-overs and how to audition.

"We care about music education and are very committed to offering quality music services in Carroll County and surrounding areas," Freedman said.
