Attempted Auto Theft Spikes in Elkridge
Five vehicles were stolen or almost stolen in Elkridge this week.

Motel Robbery
Shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 10, a known suspect displayed a knife to a victim in a hotel room on the 6300 block of Washington Boulevard and stole cell phones, credit cards and identification.
Commercial Break-In
Between Nov. 9 and Nov. 10, three commercial trailers on the 7600 block of Washington Boulevard were broken into and the following items stolen: copper wire from a Crown Electric trailer; tools from a Chegg Hill Mechanical Co. trailer; and a generator, cart and copper pipes from a Blue Dot Co. trailer.
Residential Break-In
A residence on the 8000 block of Keeton Way was reported broken into at 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 17.

Shortly after 11 a.m. on Nov. 11, someone who knew the homeowner pried open a window on the 5700 block of Augustine Avenue and removed a bag of his own belongings, while also breaking the victim's windshield. Officers arrested an Elkridge resident, 17, and charged him with first-,
third- and fourth-degree burglary;Â malicious destruction of property; and trespassing.
Vehicle Theft and Attempts
On Nov. 16, someone tampered with the ignition of a vehicle on the 6300 block of Orchard Club Drive, reported at 8:42 a.m.

Several hours later, at 3:50 p.m., there was an attempt to break into a vehicle on the 6200 block of Sandrise Court.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 14, a vehicle was reported stolen from a residence on the 6200 block of Washington Boulevard. Officers pursued the vehicle and arrested the suspect, a Halethorpe woman, 54, who is being charged with motor vehicle theft and unauthorized removal of property.
At approximately 7 a.m. on Nov. 14, a construction vehicle stolen on Nov. 11 from Coca Cola Drive at Park Circle Drive was found in a wooded area.
Shortly after 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 13, a vehicle theft was reported at a residence on the 6700 block of Old Waterloo Road.
