Howard County Hosts Public Meeting on Montgomery Road Water Transmission Main Replacement Project

The public meeting will be held August 31 at the Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD – The Howard County Department of Public Works will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, August 31, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department, 6275 Old Washington Road in Elkridge, to review and discuss the Montgomery Road water main transmission project.

The project to replace an aging iron main with 14,000 linear feet of 12-inch PVC main along Montgomery Road between Miller’s Corner and Lawyer’s Hill Road is scheduled to begin in early October.

While there will be no formal presentation, the design plans will be available to view and staff members will be on hand to explain the proposed work, answer any questions and gather public comments. Those unable to attend the meeting who would like to view the proposed plans and/or have questions should contact Paul DiMarco with the Department of Public Works, Utility Design Division at 410-313-6126.
