An Elkridge Woman Has Died After Police Say She Hit Another Vehicle Head-On

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A 34-year-old Elkridge resident was killed shortly before 10 a.m. Friday. Danyel Dube's 2005 Honda Civic was heading north on Route 1 near Brumbaugh Street when, for an unknown reason, it crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a 2020 Subaru Impreza head on.

Dube was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Howard County Police Department. The woman driving the Subaru was the only person in her vehicle and she experienced non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Route 1 south was closed for approximately 3.5 hours after the crash.
