Cadbury Eggs vs. Peeps: The Ultimate Easter Candy Debate

Americans are expected to spend $2.2 billion this year just on Easter candy alone, according to the National Retail Federation.

Among the endless Easter sweets popping up on store shelves, there are two that undoubtedly remain at the top: Cadbury Creme Eggs and Peeps. With Easter soon approaching, we had to revisit the age-old debate: which one is better?

Although a seemingly simple question, the answer may never be known.

We put the question to Ellicott City Patch Facebook fans, filled with impassioned Easter candy lovers—and fierce opposers—to weigh in on the debate.

The result: Inconclusive. Ellicott City Patch readers aren’t too fond of either of the Easter sweets.
