Folly Quarter Closing For Emergency Repair Project
Drivers should make plans to avoid Folly Quarter Road next week while county crews tackle an emergency repair project.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A section of Folly Quarter Road will close soon for an emergency repair project to replace the culvert on Folly Quarter Road over the tributary to Benson Branch between Buckskin Lake Drive and Walt Ann Drive in Ellicott City.
The project will start Monday and includes replacing the existing deteriorating concrete culvert with dual precast concrete culverts. Weather permitting, the project should wrap up by mid- to late-December.
While the work is being done, this section of Folly Quarter Road will be closed to all traffic. Traffic will follow a detour using Folly Quarter Road to Triadelphia Road to Carroll Mill Road to Folly Quarter Road.
