Lane Closure Expected Along Montgomery Run Road For Stormwater Management Pond Project

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Lanes along a portion of Montgomery Run Road near a stormwater management pond will be closed to all traffic for the next few months.

A project to repair and improve the pond located south of 8360 Montgomery Run Road calls for replacing the existing metal spillway pipe and riser with a reinforced concrete principal spillway pipe and riser structure, as well as grading and stabilization work. During this time, traffic will follow a marked detour using Montgomery Run Road to Falls Run Road.

Weather permitting, the project should be finished by late August 2025.
