Drivers Should Anticipate Lane Closure During Sidewalk Installation Project In Elkridge
Drivers in Elkridge should plan for traffic delays due to a sidewalk installation project that will close the eastbound lane.
ELKRIDGE, MD — Crews will begin installing a sidewalk along the east side of Roosevelt Boulevard from Cemetery Lane to Business Parkway starting Dec. 4.
Weather permitting, the project should wrap up by late January 2025.
As part of the county’s Pedestrian Master Plan, WalkHoward, the project has been designed to improve pedestrian accessibility along the US 1 corridor. The project also will include the installation of curb and gutter, includes minor drainage improvements and creates driveway entrances and curb ramps.

Flagging operations will be in place to direct traffic, because the eastbound travel lane will be closed during construction hours, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
