Crews will be replacing water mains and accessories along Eliots Oak Road starting May 1, which will require temporary lane closures.

COLUMBIA, MD — Temporary lane closures will be expected starting May 1 as crews work to replace approximately 12,000 linear feet of water mains and accessories along Eliots Oak Road.

The lane closures will stretch from MD 108 to Blacksmith Drive and Hesperus Drive between Round Tower and Open Window. Weather permitting, the project should wrap up by late May 2026.

Signs will be posted to alert drivers of the construction project and flagging operations will be in place for the temporary lane closures. Work will be done weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
