Lane Closures Expected During Upcoming Sidewalk Project
A sidewalk project in Ellicott City that starts Monday may require lane closures, city officials note.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A construction project to install sidewalks and a mid-block crossing on Centennial Lane to improve neighborhood access to Font Hill Wetlands Park in Ellicott City will start Monday. Lane closures should be expected.
In addition to providing safer access to the park, the project also will provide connections to a potential future pathway to Kiwanis-Wallis Park.
Weather permitting, the project should wrap up by late-November 2024. Signs will be posted and flagging operations will be in place to direct traffic, as temporary single-lane closures can be expected throughout the project and during construction hours, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
