Meeting To Highlight Projects In Elkridge Creating New Sidewalk, Bike Lane, Turning Lanes

The public can attend an upcoming meeting and learn more about two projects in Elkridge creating new sidewalks, a bike lane, turning lanes.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Residents can attend a public meeting Sept. 25 at 5 p.m. to learn more about a project that calls for the installation of a new sidewalk along Roosevelt Boulevard and steps to be taken to improve the MD 103/US 1 intersection in Elkridge.

The proposed Capital Project K-5036 specifically will include the installation of a new sidewalk along southbound Roosevelt Boulevard from Business Parkway to Cemetery Road, as well as new curb, gutter and ADA ramps at the street crossings. The project should start this and, weather permitting, should wrap up by the end of December 2024.

The proposed Capital Project J-4212 will improve the intersection of US 1 and MD 103/Meadowridge Road and Dorsey Road. This project will provide additional turn lanes, a new sidewalk, bike lane, storm drain and stormwater management facilities. The project is scheduled to start in the summer of 2025 and weather permitting, should be finished by the fall of 2026.
