Drivers should expect a complete road closure of Woodbine Morgan Road during a construction project that starts later this month.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A construction project to install a retaining wall along Woodbine Morgan Road next to South Branch Patapsco River in Woodbine should start Sept. 23. The road will be closed to all traffic during construction hours.

The project will include work to stabilize roadway embankment, repair the shoulder and improve the traffic barrier. Weather permitting, the project should wrap up by late December 2024.

Woodbine Morgan Road will be closed to all traffic in both directions during the construction hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Traffic will follow a clearly marked detour using Woodbine Road, Old Frederick Road and Woodbine Station Road.
