Sidewalk Closed, Traffic Flow Affected By Construction Project
A new storm drain system project will require the closure of a sidewalk in Ellicott City, as well as impact the flow of traffic.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Construction is underway on a new storm drain system that requires the closure of sidewalk along Ellicott Mills Drive.
The project started Monday to install the new system along 3450 Court House Drive near Ellicott Mills Drive. Flagging operations are in place to direct traffic through the work zone when needed, especially when construction vehicles are entering and exiting the sloped area along Ellicott City Drive, county officials said.
A stretch of an estimated 100 feet of sidewalk along Ellicott Mills Drive, located just south of Court House Drive, will be closed for the duration of the project, too.
