Lane Closures Expected During Sidewalk Project Connecting Neighborhood To Schools
Drivers should expect lane closures as a sidewalk project connection the Northfield Road neighborhood to 2 schools has started.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A sidewalk project to connect the Northfield Road neighborhood to Northfield Elementary School and Dunloggin Middle School has started and should wrap up by Oct. 1.
The sidewalks will be installed along the south side of Northfield Road from the two school buildings to the shared driveway located near Columbia Road. Signs will be posted and flagging operations will be in place to direct traffic since temporary closures of the eastbound lane can be expected weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Work hours will be reduced during the school year.
