Tentative Graduation Ceremony Schedule Released For HCPSS Students
HCPSS class of 2026 graduation ceremonies will be held on weeknights, avoiding Memorial Day and Eid al-Adha.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — School officials announced Wednesday that there will not be any weekend graduation ceremonies in 2026 again, nor any on Memorial Day or during Eid al-Adha.
All graduation ceremonies for the class of 2026 will be held at the Merriweather Post Pavilion, except for Cedar Lane School, which will hold its graduation ceremony at the school.
The Merriweather Post Pavilion has informed Howard County Public School System officials that no graduations will take place there on May 25, May 26 or May 27.

Specific dates and times will be released in early spring after Merriweather Post Pavilion finalizes its events schedule and shares what dates are open for graduation, school leaders stated.
