Ryan Umpleby, a Fallston High alum, has been honored for his performance on the collegiate gridiron.
A sophomore receiver at Lycoming, Umpleby was named honorable mention among USA College Football’s National Players of the Week. He was joined by teammates senior defensive lineman Dwight Hentz and senior kicker Zack Czap.

Umpleby had 112 yards and a touchdown on eight catches in a 16-14 win against No. 24 Widener. His 33-yard touchdown catch gave the Warriors a 13-0 lead in the seccond quarter. He finished with 198 all-purpose yards—the rest coming on kick and punt returns.
He has 308 yards and two touchdowns on 20 catches through four games.
Lycoming (3-1) hosts Delaware Valley at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
