Today in Hunt Valley: Sonic Coming Soon, Unexpected Heat Relief, TotSwap Consignment
All you need to know on Friday, July 26, 2013

It's Friday, July 26. Here's all you need to know.
Weather: Thursday was just amazing. This Accuweather forecast shows a high of 83 and a low of 66 degrees on today. That should be a great start to the weekend, but Saturday could be rainy - there's a chance of thunderstorms.
What You're Saying: Folks are talking about a new Sonic, America's Drive-In that's currently under construction just down York Road in Timonium. Add your voice to the conversation.
Carol R. Foster wrote: "That section of York Road is generally not congested. It will be Great to have a SONIC there. Having the vacant building was such an eyesore. Baltimore County should be happy with the additional taxes."
Got something you want to say? Something you want to sell? Post it on our boards or leave a comment on a story! Who knows? Maybe we'll feature it in one of these round-ups.
What's Happening? Totswap, a huge kid's stuff consignment show, starts today at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium. The event runs from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. and continues through Monday. Want to learn more? Check out the Totswap site.
Trying to get exposure for an event? Post it to our calendar.
What Did You Miss? Our very own Bryan Sears, Baltimore County political reporter, recently wrote about Gov. Martin O'Malley's environmental plan. The upshot? Maryland is trying to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55 million metric tons by 2020. The bad news? Energy costs could rise. Read the story here.
What Will I Miss? You guys. I'll be on vacation beginning tomorrow, but never fear — the Patch staff here in Baltimore County will take care of you. I'll be back after on Aug. 4, and in the meantime I'll be checking out Montreal, Quebec and the northeastern United States.
