Vintage Hunt Valley-Cockeysville: The Joust
Check out this historic photograph, courtesy of the Baltimore County Public Library.

These days it's hard to think of a place to find anyone engaged in Maryland's state sport other than the Renaissance festival.
But back around the turn of the 20th century, jousting took place at nearby My Lady's Manor as shown in this historic photograph, taken in 1902 and downloaded from the Baltimore County Public Library catalog.
My Lady's Manor, the 10,000-acre tract that was established in 1713, will celebrate it's tercentennial anniversary this year with a number of events put on by area churches and historical organizations like the Historical Society of Baltimore County, the Historical Society of Harford County, and the Manor Conservancy.
