PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Award-winning and best-selling author Reyna Grande will be at the Hyattsville branch of the library Monday, May 23, starting at 6:30 p.m. to chat about her new book "A Ballad of Love and Glory." The event will be hosted by book influencer Lupita Aquino and co-presented with the Prince George's County Office of Human Rights.
“Reyna Grande is one of the most revered contemporary American authors whose stories–both fiction and nonfiction–expand our understanding of Latin American and immigrant experience,” Nicholas Brown, PGCMLS’ chief operating officer for communication and outreach, said. “We are fortunate to have such an important literary voice visit Prince George’s County this spring.”
"A Ballad of Love and Glory" is a historical saga following a Mexican army nurse and an Irish soldier during the Mexican-American War.
