Police: Suspect Accused in Death of Landlord
A man is being charged in the deadly stabbing in Prince George's County, police report.
A man has been arrested in the fatal stabbing of his landlord, according to the Prince George’s County Police.
Nysani Norman Oates, 40, is charged with first degree murder and related charges in the homicide at 500 block of Cree Drive in District Heights.
A neighbor reportedly heard a man call for help and contacted police around 6:45 p.m. Dec. 5, PGPD reports. Officers found Yves Edendeng, 42, suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say Oates was renting a room from Edendeng. The two were in Edendeng’s car when an argument broke out, according to police. Then Oates allegedly stabbed Edendeng. The victim got out of his car and and started yelling for help.
Oates was arrested in Washington, D.C. on Dec. 8.
