UPDATE: Hyattsville Mall Clear of Smoke Smell, Back to Business

Some shoppers told Patch that mall doors were locked at the time of the fire, but Clark denied that accusation, saying instead that the doors were unlocked because the mall was open for business at the time.
A maintenance worker who saw smoke in the tunnel set off a fire alarm initiating Saturday’s evacuation, she said.

Everything is back to business now, Clark said, adding that she isn’t immediately aware of the fiscal impact of Saturday’s closure.
