Kensington Man Killed in Colorado Skiing Accident

David Schreitmueller ran into a tree at the Snowmass ski area, the Aspen Daily News reports.

A competition snow skier who died from hitting a tree in Aspen, CO, has been identified as David Schreitmueller, 42, of Kensington, according to news reports.

Aspen Daily News reported that Schreitmueller was wearing a helmet and skiing alone when he ran into a tree around 9 a.m. on Friday at the Snowmass ski area.

Schreitmueller was at Snowmass to compete in the NASTAR National Championships, according to the Aspen Daily News.
