Peanut the Penguin (ISBN 978-1-954805-06-4 Bold Story Press, Sept. 19, 2021), written and illustrated by Garrett Park, MD, resident, Aruna M. Lepore, has captured the attention of its audience and has won the following Book Awards:

Author, Aruna M. Lepore, has successfully manifested her strong belief in encouraging empathy in young kids in this heart-warming, author-painted children’s book about a young penguin who seeks to share his special gift for singing, although initially faced with a strong and opposing community. Trinidadian-born, US Children’s Book author, Aruna M. Lepore earned her MBA at the University of Florida. She held the position of Director at a manufacturing company for several years. Once becoming a mother, her focus shifted toward raising sensitive and compassionate children. Her beliefs in the importance of helping young children connect to their empathetic, sensitive side was the impetus for her first children’s book, award-winning Peanut the Penguin.
