Man Struck and Killed by Two Vehicles, Neither Stopped

An elderly man was crossing the street when he was hit twice on Saturday, police report.

A Prince George’s County man was the victim of a double hit-and-run, according to the PGPD.

At 12:20 a.m. Dec. 6, police believe that Oswaldo Augusto Mootoo, 75, of Camp Springs, was trying to cross the street in Suitland. A vehicle hit him and did not stop, police report.

As Mootoo was in the street, he was hit by a second vehicle that did not stop either.

The victim was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The first vehicle, a small gray or silver sedan, may have damage on the front end bumper, headlight area, hood, windshield, or a combination, PGPD reports.
