10 Restaurants Open on Thanksgiving in Montgomery County
Because a Thanksgiving-sized dinner comes with a mega-sized cleanup, here's a few spots to dine out.

Whether you’re celebrating Thanksgiving with your 50+ relatives who are coming into town, or want a cozy family dinner, this is the one day of the year that is fully dedicated to eating until you’re in a food coma.
But Thanksgiving dinner doesn’t just come with a massive pile of food, there’s also a massive pile of dishes and leftovers to clean and put away after — while you’re battling the desire to take a nap.
So if the whole mess of Thanksgiving doesn’t sound appealing to you, several restaurants in Montgomery County are willing to cook and clean for you. Check out our list for a change in Thanksgiving plans and less work for you.

Clyde’s of Chevy Chase: Looking to order a personal plate of all things Thanksgiving? Swing over to Clyde’s Chevy Chase at 5441 Wisconsin Ave. between noon and 9 p.m. The restaurant also offers a children’s roast turkey dinner plate and other dishes to choose from if a traditional Thanksgiving dinner isn’t quite what you’re in the mood for. Mrs. K’s Restaurant & Barrel Bar: For a dinner that could really go on endlessly, Mrs. K’s is offering a Thanksgiving buffet-style dinner with all the fixings. The restaurant at 9201 Colesville Road, Silver Spring, is open from noon to 7 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, but a reservation is required. The buffet will be $55 for adults and $19.95 for children 9 and under. To make a reservation, call 301-589-3500.

Brasserie Beck: The European-style restaurant will offer Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. Turkey dinner will be $35 for adults and $15 for children. A children’s menu and bar menu will also be available. The restaurant at 311 Kentlands Blvd., Gaithersburg, will be open from noon to 7 p.m.
La Ferme Restaurant: The Chevy Chase restaurant located at 7101 Brookville Road will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving. The restaurant has even put together a prix fixe, three-course menu for the occasion with your choice of entree, soup and dessert. To make a reservation, call 301-986-5255.
Lia’s: Another choice for a three-course meal is Lia’s. The restaurant also has a children’s Thanksgiving menu to accommodate all the little ones. If this sounds like the place for you to have Thanksgiving dinner, swing over to 4435 Willard Ave., Chevy Chase. But if the prospect of eating out at a restaurant on Thanksgiving instead of being at home doesn’t suit you, Lia’s is also offering a full family-style Thanksgiving dinner for take-out. To order or make a reservation, call 240-223-5427 and dine in or pick up dinner between noon and 5 p.m.
Chef Geoff’s in Rockville, a sister restaurant of Lia’s, will offer the same menu, featuring the maple orange glazed turkey. The restaurant is located at 12256 Rockville Pike. The restaurant is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. To make a reservation, call 240-621-3090.
Morton’s The Steakhouse: It may not be a turkey dinner, but the restaurant is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. So for those who prefer tender steak over juicy turkey, head over to 7400 Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda.
Positano: The Italian restaurant will offer customers the full, traditional Thanksgiving meal with turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce and pie. But all the regular Italian dishes on the regular menu are also available for order. Whether you’re craving Thanksgiving dinner or Italian, head over to 4948-4940 Fairmont Ave. in Bethesda between noon and 9 p.m.
Ruth’s Chris Steak House: So let’s consider the option of having steak for Thanksgiving dinner again. Ruth’s Chris Steak House at 7315 Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda is open from noon to 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. For those who want the traditional Thanksgiving dinner, the steak house is offering a three-course dinner featuring oven-roasted turkey breast and sweet potato casserole. The restaurant also has a banquet room that seats anywhere from 20 to 60 guests. If you’re planning a big family gathering, this could be the way to go. To make a reservation, call 301-652-7877.
Ruth’s Chris Steak House also has a location open in Gaithersburg at 106 Crown Park Ave. The restaurant may not have the same banquet hall as the location in Bethesda, but the menu is the same. To make a reservation, call 301-990-1926.
Daily Grill: Here’s another option for a three-course meal with your choice of soup or salad, an entree and dessert. The Daily Grill at 1 Bethesda Metro Center is open from 6:30 a.m. until 11 p.m., considerably later than some of the other restaurants listed above. If you plan on being out late with the family, this might just be the way to go. There is also a children’s menu available.
