The local currency, which Patch wrote about at its inception, works like this. The BNotes are accepted the same as cash, so shoppers essentially get a discount for using the currency. The BNote's creators will be at the Terra Cafe to meet BNote users and take questions as they celebrate the currency's birthday Wednesday at Terra Cafe from 7 to 9 p.m., according to an email newsletter.
