"Hosted by the Maryland Clean Energy Center, the summit will feature a wide range of seminars and exhibits focusing on a wide range of renewable energy and efficiency topics. Those attending the show will hear from experts on the financial and environmental benefits of electric vehicles, biomass heating, solar and wind power and geothermal systems. The event also will educate homeowners on how they can apply for unsecured, low-interest loans for home efficiency enhancements and how they can support the environment by opting to purchase energy that electricity suppliers obtain from 100 percent renewable sources," according to a press statement.
"In addition to the seminars and exhibits, the show offers attendees a chance to test drive a Chevrolet Volt, which can travel up to 379 miles on a tank of gas and a fully charged battery. At a time when gas prices remain elevated, the cost to recharge the battery of a Volt from empty to full is about $1.50."
