Ignite Baltimore Offers Grants

Projects to improve the city could be awarded a $2,250 grant.

Do you have an idea for a project to improve Baltimore?

Ignite Baltimore is offering two $2,250 grants for feasible that can make Charm City a better place to live and work, according to a news release from the organization.

Applications for the grants can be found here and must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 30 and the winning projects will be announced on Oct. 18.

"The Ignition Grants, funded by proceeds from Ignite Baltimore ticket sales, intend to inspire individuals to take action as well as spark and reward creative ideas that address the City’s social and economic challenges," according to the release. Ā 

Previous grants have gone to projects that helped provide low-income women with supplies so they could sell crafts at farmers’ markets, a film making course for children in the Walbrook neighborhood and a video tour of Baltimore’s parks and trails.Ā
