The <a href="http://www.gopconvention2012.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Republican National Convention</a> was set to begin today. But the start of the event—located in Tampa, FL—has been pushed back to Tuesday because of the expected arrival of Tropical Storm Isaac. The <a href="http://www.demconvention.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Democratic National Convention</a> is schedued for Sept. 4 in Charlotte, NC. Some conventions in the past were unpredictable and raucous events. But in modern political history, the conventions have morphed into days long infomercials for the candidates.
