Choux may have only been open a couple months, but the Hampden eatery is already off to a running start.
The latest venture of Ma Petite Shoe owner Susannah Siger, Choux features a cafe style menu that boasts classic French dishes such as Croque Monsieur and gougeres alongside more unusual selections including the kale spanakopita and a Bombay latte with jaggery and ginger.
The response so far?
"It's been phenomenal," Siger said. "People were asking me 'what took so long for you to do this.'"
Additionally, Choux features a market that includes its own locally roasted coffee, prepared foods and products used by business.
Siger said the cafe, located at 830 W. 36th street, will also expand its seating in the fall.
And more changes are surely in store.
"We're always coming up with new ideas," she said.
