Arby's Coming to Fort Meade
The fast food restaurant will be included in the Gate 32 Shoppette, scheduled to open in February.

An Arby's restaurant will be one of the new additions at Fort Meade as the installation continues work a series of new construction projects.
The Fort Meade public affairs office reported that the fast food restaurant will be part of a new shoppette—dubbed the Gate 32 Express—that will also include a pizza shop with delivery. It is scheduled to open in February.
The new shoppette was featured in the latest edition of Meade Week, a news video produced by the Fort Meade public affairs office.
Meade Week noted that any federal workers at Fort Meade returned to work last week to see changes to many parts of the installation as construction work continued even during the government shutdown.
While the 16-day shutdown led to furloughs of many employees, constructions crews continued work on a new configuration of Mapes Road and Cooper Avenue. Work also continued on several high-profile projects including a new post exchange mall and Reece Crossings apartments.
Other stories covered in the latest edition of Meade Week include:
- Details on the installation's recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
- Information on a Red Ribbon Week observation on Oct. 22 to raise awareness of substance abuse.
- Details on a Prescription Take-Back Day on Oct. 26.
