There are seven days left before the blood drive. The Heart2Heart Cancer Care Ministry of Macedonia UMC and the Christopher Gipson Sickle Cell Moya-Moya Foundation are sponsoring a blood drive with the Red Cross of the Greater Chesapeake Blood Services. during this holiday season of giving, add the Gift of Life to your giving list. Your blood donation will add to the quality of life for people living with Cancer and Sickle Cell Disease. Both groups require blood transfusions. If you are an eligible type O, B - or A - donor, consider making a Power Red donation. Red blood cells are the most commonly transfused blood component. Enjoy the Holidays by signing up to donate blood and bring a friend.

The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.
