Driver Reports Attempted Carjacking on WB&A Road

A woman who was driving early Saturday in Severn said someone shattered the driver's side window of her car and tried to open door, Anne Arundel County police said. 

Police responded shortly before 6:30 a.m. Saturday and spoke with the woman, who said she was driving northbound on WB&A Road and stopped at Maple Tree Road. The woman reported that her driver's side door was shattered by someone who struck it with an unknown object. She also told police that someone tried to open the door, which was locked. 

Police said the victim drove quickly away and called police about a mile away. 

Officers searched the area but could not find any suspects or witnesses. Police did not have a description of any suspects.
