Hanover Company Buys App from UMBC Students

Tecore Networks bought the rights to the Banana Bones app, which is designed to offer a virtual tour of the UMBC campus using help from GPS technology.

A Hanover company recently bought the rights to a mobile app developed by students at UMBC as part of a class project.

Tecore Networks, which specializes in mobile technology, will work to develop the Banana Bones app, which is designed to offer visitors to UMBC a "virtual tour" of the campus, according to the Retriever Weekly.

The app was designed by three classmates, Andres Camacho, Hashem Kanfash and Josh Massey. While they sold the intellectual property rights for the app to Tecore, they will remain involved in the app's development.
