Home Invasion, Shooting Prompt Arrest In Annapolis: Police

A home invasion and shooting prompted an arrest in Annapolis, police said. Two suspects were involved.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A man was arrested after a home invasion and shooting this week in Annapolis, police said.

Officers said they were called Tuesday around 12:51 a.m. to the 1400 block of Tyler Avenue, where they found a male with a gunshot wound to an extremity. The victim, who was taken to a hospital, is expected to survive.

Authorities said two suspects had forced their way into the home.

Police said one suspect then fired multiple rounds, hitting the victim.

Officers said they established a perimeter and obtained a description of the fleeing suspects from police camera operators.

Authorities said they found two people matching the description.

The suspects fled as police approached, a press release said.

Officers said they apprehended one suspect, identified as 25-year-old Noah Rodell Louis Ford, after a brief foot chase.

Authorities said he had a backpack containing a black and silver handgun.

The Annapolis Police Department said Ford was charged with first and second-degree attempted murder, first and second-degree assault, home invasion and third-degree burglary, among other charges.
