Local Spots Get Set for Football Season
There are plenty of local places to go for wings, beer and pigskin.

College football season starts this weekend, and the National Football League kicks off a week later.Â
Local restaurants and pubs are getting set with promotions and specials on foot and drink to lure game-watchers.
Perry's Restaurant has a menu of specials on college and pro game days. Â (It has the NFL Sunday Ticket package, so you can watch any game.)Â
Appetizers run from $4.99 to $8.99, or you can get wings and a pitcher of beer for $11.99. Drink specials include a Ravens Bomb (Three Olives Purple w/Energy Drink) for $4.50. A gallon of draft beer is $17.99.Â
At the Greene Turtle in Gambrills and Hanover, there will be specials on drinks and food on game day, and the chain is also making itself available for fantasy football draft parties. If you have a group of eight, you can pay $15 per person and get a choice of menu items, two pints of Miller Lite, and $10 in Turtle Bucks for future use.Â
Buffalo Wild Wings at Arundel Mills also offers draft parties. The restaurants offer free wifi, so bring your laptops. Ask a manager about availability.Â
In Crofton, Fat Boys Crab Shack has been offering 20 ounce Miller Light drafts for $2.50 on Redskins game days.Â
The Irish Channel in Crofton boasts of the NFL Sunday Ticket package, so you can watch any game. (It's also a great place to watch for Barclays Premier League soccer, if you prefer that kind of football.)
Other places to watch games include Jim's Hideway in Odenton and J. King's in Gambrills.
