A confirmed tornado was reported near Colesville at 3:53 p.m. and was moving east at 50 mph, according to the warning.

The National Weather Service warning asks residents to take cover, move to an interior room and avoid windows. People who are outdoors should move to the nearest shelter and take precautions against debris. Drivers should not take shelter under highway overpasses or abandon their vehicles.
