Prostitution Sting Yields 3 Arrests
A Severn man was among those charged in an operation targeting the Linthicum Hotel District.

Anne Arundel County detectives arrested three men, including a Severn resident, following a sting of prostitution operations in the Linthicum area.Â
Police said they began the operation on Oct. 2, when undercover detectives posed as escorts on a website. The investigation yielded 51 phone calls and text messages, with many people inquiring about pricing and looking to schedule appointments in the Linthicum hotel district. Police are reviewing the numbers used in an effort to identify the subscribers.Â
Police charged three people with prostitution and assignation after responding to the advertisements, including Ibrahim Aruna, 45 of Severn; Ryan Matthew Saul, 39, of Baltimore; and Gopal Chandru Knowdley, 27, of Ellicott City.Â
