Severn Homicide Victim Identified In Targeted Shooting: Police
A 24-year-old Severn man was shot to death Monday night in what Anne Arundel County Police said was a targeted attack.

SEVERN, MD — A 24-year-old Severn man was shot to death Monday night near Severn Tree Boulevard and Sea Pine Circle in Severn, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Officers responded about 7:10 p.m. after multiple gunshots were fired and found the victim lying on the ground in front of a home in the 1700 block of Sea Pine Circle with an apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as Karon Makhai Cann, a police news release said.
He was taken by ambulance to the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Homicide detectives talked to several witnesses about the shooting and technicians collected evidence at the crime scene. The preliminary investigation indicates this was a targeted incident and not a random act of violence, authorities said.
