Town Center Committee to Review Another Apartment Project

Alliance Residential will present updated plans for 212 apartments across from the fire station.

A developer will present updated plans for a new apartment complex across from the Odenton Volunteer Fire Department, and is asking that its pool and clubhouse be used to satisfy requirements for commercial space.

Alliance Residential will present plans on Tuesday to the Odenton Town Center Plan Oversight Committee. The project calls for a 212-unit project known as Broadstone, nestled on a plot of land near Baldwin Avenue and Berger Street.

Planning officials said the Broadstone project would be situated on a 13- to 15-acre plot surrounded by wetlands. A master plan for the site also calls for retail and office space and a hotel at separate locations.

The project is similar to the Novus apartments, located immediately the east at Nevada and Hale Streets. The town center committee recommended approval of that project earlier this year.

The town center committee will also review plans for fencing at the Kingdom Celebration Center Day Care, as well as plans for a shed on a property on Breitwert Avenue.

The town center committee will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Western District Police Station, 8723 Telegraph Rd., Odenton.
